A simple blood in urine test is often an earlier indicator of Bladder Cancer. A small amount of blood in urine is undetectable to the naked eye. Test strips take a minute and indicate immediately if you should see a GP.
As the Foundation is in its infancy we are tackling small projects to begin with. Projects that are affordable and can have a strong impact. Our first project is to raise enough funds to be able to offer FREE Blood in Urine test strips to all Australians.
Two test strips in a sealed package with an instruction card costs us $0.10c each.
We want to be able to provide and post the test strips to any concerned Aussie!
Once we have the Free Test Strips program up and running we will talk with the Government about including the test strips in the bowel cancer test packs.
